Yh im not sure where to write this hate filled email, so ill just write it here, KERRANG U R CUNTS! you dont even write an apology, some ppl waited hours just 2 see there favourite bands play, there was these girls who came all the way from spain! what r u gonna do bout that? your not gonna pay there fucking plane ticket r u? Yh why the hell did u choose brixton academy anyway? its in 1 of the roughest parts of london and i dont think it has the greatest history. And u wanna no 3 things that i hate about this, they say there was no power supply...BUT ALL THE LIGHHTS WERE ON! you picked a lame excuse to screw over many ppl with (this is a rant 2 brixton 2,) and if you dont rescedule the show, we probs wont get our money back, its called freaking recession assfucks you and loads of other will get OUR money back, and last if this is resceduled 4 half term im gonna be very very pissed off cos im going away. Do u really thnk it was fun 4 me 2 see my 2 younger friends that i had 2 look after cry and yell because there were so hoping2 have a great night, thats not a nice feeling 4 one 2 have, then the security yelling at us? Don't complain to Kerrang, people. They chose Brixton because it is known as one of the best venues and I've been before and I know what they're talking about. 2 hours in the queue? At least they let us in. And yeah obviously I hope they reschedule it but it's not Kerrang to blame if they don't these bands have got other stuff going on I'm sure.

In a way your right you cant blame kerrang but at the end of the day me and my mates cued up for an hour and then were in the venue for 2hours and all we got told was it has been cancelled why couldnt they have came out and said that straight away all the antisipation just to hear that is pretty shitty dont you think??? I went and spoke to a guy about either a refund or getting new tickets and all he could say was you will have to check the sight tomorrow for updates and there hasnt even been any yet... I have to work weekends and attend college everyday of the week so i would like to no how the hell am i supposed 2 attend a rescheduled show??? i booked time off of work just to go there :@ I think you could tell the bands were pissed you only had to look at jimmy's face it was horrible... Annnd a power cut??? pftt! sure there was coz the big screen was on the lights were on and if the equipment didnt work how the fuck did the mic manage to work?? I was so angry coz me and my mate came from fulham and spent like £50 on cabs there and back... Im surprised there wasnt a Riot!

I feel worse for those who flew over from other country's as far as Japan/America.
At the end of the day, we just got to sit back and hope both Brixton and Kerrang refund us the lost money and effort.
And there was a power cut the night before. And that left the building with only 30% power for the show, enough to give us lights and one microphone-speakers. Not enough to run the whole show.
Sorry Kerrang. But the organization at brixton was terrible, they should have told us sooner

I am seriously fucking annoyed. I travelled down from Oxford, and took a day off to see the bands, and they kept us waiting for three hours, 4 if you count line time as well. Since MSI and Dir en Grey will probably not get a chance due to other committments to play a gig in England again soon, that means we'll probably have to settle for some crap emo bands- whoever you've decided to shove in their place, because you reckon whatever you give us, we'll be pleased. We paid £15 a ticket each to see those *specific* bands, and £20 on transport, the least you could do was be a bit more apologetic about it.
I will certainly want a refund if those bands do not play- I am seriously not going to fobbed off with some unknowns who you've scraped together last minute because you couldn't find anyone else and you want to save your image.
If you ask me you're bloody lucky that the crowd at Brixton didn't badly riot, and smash up your precious venue

There was a power surply problem yer there was power but not enough that they can legaly put on a show, yer it sucks as such but stuff happens like this, yer my only beaf is that we were't told to the end, wud have been nice for some sort of update once in a while, and lets face it im sure Kerrang didt cause the power probs, it was prob all the bands and there hair dryers :P

K! tour 09 at Brixton deffinatly had violence, noise, crowed surfing and screaming Kids wanting more. But the lack of music or even information to tell us what was going on made it more than a night to remember.
Jimmy looked gutted, even though we were all pissed, you couldnt help but admire their attempt of 'shut me up'. Lol.
We can't blame K! or any of the bands, it wasn't their fault. Okay most of it had been queing for hours in the freezing cold and then the crowds packed to the brim to the point where me and my friends couldn't breathe for three hours screaming and shouting, but i still had an okay night, but we can safely say that if BMTH and MSI aren't at the reschedueld show, no one will be turning up. I just wished they'd told us sooner, I spoke to the arse that went on stage and asked why, (when the power surge occured at 6.30) that they held all the kids in for 3 hours (i saw at least 3 people being surfed off out cold)when they could of let us go home at a reasonable time and he said 'it was our duty to look after the kids and not leave you on the street'. Oh, so it's not okay to tell us to go home at 7 when its practically light outside and most would be in home within a few hours?, but it's perfectly okay to subject us to ridiculous amounts of violence (I saw a kid being beaten the shit out of by a load of other kids because he'd caught a drum stick and when I told the security guard to help him out, all he said was 'they'll leave when they want too'.) and leave us out on the street at 9.30 in the middle of Brixton?
I'm sure like me, hundreds of other kids had been looking forward to this night for a very long time and it will take a lot of hard work for K! to supply a reschedueld show that we would actually want to go too.

Yeah this was absolute bullshit! I don't blame the bands at all, my hat goes off to jimmy and steve from MSI who made me laugh even after learning that it was canceled,
however i want to say a big FUCK YOU to the brixton crowd control who stopped any actual fun from ocuring.

heyy kerrang,
it was such a let down last night :( i cried my fuckin eyes out.
It took me 4 hours to get there then another 5 queuin then finally gettin in then tellin us it was cancelled..They should of give us notice about the power...But how come the lights and microphones were working?? and we could hear guitars outside!! Me and my sis were looking forward to that for 4 months!!! i know its not your fault or kerrang's fault...I only came to see BMTH none of the bands came on stage and spoke or anything which i think they should of so they showed us they cared? i was soo lookin forward to seeing oli sykes and the bands!! but at the end i saw lee and matt so i was pretty happy but they look bummed themsleves.
i know you probably wont reschedule but PLEASE try and do another tour with all the same bands this year or next!!my friend said your only having a private party which i think isnt fair :( MSI could of done an acoustic song??

I would like to say sorry to all the nice people at the Brixton academy for the general angriness which followed the announcement of the gigs cancellation, that includes the cool Kerrang kids who were there too, the bands and the cool guy working the bar.
I think Brixton academy is a lovely place, and I especially liked the nice new carpet that has recently been put in.
So don't be too sad, because kids these days are all full of drugs and such and will probably have forgotten all this by Wednesday, although maybe it's Kerrang's fault for making them all so angry in the first place (ooooh, don't blame me, just a suggestion, NO, ANGRY KERRANG GET BACK! ARGHHHHHHH!!!)
the moral of the story is, it's the thought that counts.

I agree with Benny Ray. The new carpets were delightful. Unfortunatly, such things happen regularly in the live music world, and as such we can't act as spoilt brats about it. It is just an unfortunate circumstance.
Don't worry too much about it, you will be getting monies back...i got mine back today. Lets live in happyness and joy rather than pooey nastyness...i reckon the people backstage were shitting themselves when they came out...no one in that building wanted the gig cancelled...so really it is just a sad affair...with people letting negative emotions get the better of them.

tbh i know it couldn't be helped, but i don't want a refund, i want a show, and i don't care how long it takes to reschedule it.. but that's just my oppinion. thank you to all the people trying to make it happen, but i think they were a bit hopeful, waiting for about 3hours after it was meant to start to finally give up on their being a show. again, just my oppinion.

Well I just think its a joke that the owners of Brixton still had a good night out of it. I mean come on the bars were all open so was the merch, they took plenty of money from that. When I saw Simple Plan the power was fucked BUT they used emergancy lighting didn't have all the fancy extras like video screens and shit and just played, surely they could've done the same. It pisses me off to hear a security guaard say it happened the night before too. So why not ring us all up and tell us it's cancelled like other venues do!?

Well at least I have my promotional Dir en Grey CD of songs I already have that probably would have been given out if they gig had gone ahead. Fantastic apology.
I got scammed out of a Reading ticket last year and this is starting to put me off gigging altogether since it seems to involve tonnes of waiting for tonnes of nothing.
If this was out of their control, hey that's what happens, but the fact they've done little to apologize or refund the people who came from across the country or even from OTHER countries is a an absolute disgrace, and just unprofessional.

Hi, just tried to go to the Ting Tings at Brixton Academy - GIG CANCELLED! and guess what - there was a power cut!! is this a coincidence or what!! they promised us another gig if we keep our tickets, but not sure if this is gonna happen. My friend travelled from Cambridge for this, huge dissapointment :-(
