I have to admit I am dissapointed with the lack of communication with the crowd. 2 hours to say anything? Come on.
The building had about 30% power. Thats enough to power the lights in the public area's and maybe a little extra such as the mic and a few speakers. They couldnt even light up the backstage.
I just hope Kerrang with sort out refunds and compensation for those who flew out from Japan just to see this show. I feel sorry for all those people that came from another country to see this.
Free merchandise and relentless would be nice

I'm so sad to miss Dir en Grey play, They are the highlight of this whole tour.
In my eyes they are the biggest stars on it.. and it was obvious they were sorry about the whole thing, and after the show They made the efort to have photos and sign.
Especially DIE. They really tried.
Its so sad about the live set, but for those Dir en Grey fans who got to see any of the members of Diru outside after...well it wasnt a wasted day completely.
I'm sure it was worth it at least to see them.
The Diru guys did their best.
They really care.
So all our wasted tickets/travel expenses werent a waste after all.
lets hope they have a safe journey home.

Well personally, watching that man get on stage, wait for all the bands to come on aswell and tell 5000 fans that the show was cancelled.
Was Fudging priceless, i had my fair share of "You wankerss!"
But the highlight has to be the MSI Lad's performing "Shut me Up" with no instruments.
Hopefully it'll happen, they'll reschedule and we'll all get sweaty to music.
Doesn't mean im still not pissed off that it didn't happen tonight, lol.

At least Zach and Steven from Black Tide came down to the barrier and hung out with us for a while.... and the guitar techs threw out BMTH's guitar picks. I think for what it was, it wasn't too bad. It would've been fucking awesome if they had played but you can't really blame anyone for having a power cut. I had a good time in the queue anyway.

won tickets to a concert.... not just any concert but to see my 2 fav bands which would have been the first concert i ever been too....
had several problems with trains on the way there
when i finally got there had my eye burned by some twat in the que lighting matches -,-
was squashed inside for 2 hours
then the biggest let down, it was cancelled =(
gotta hand it to jimmy and the guy from black tide (i think it was him anyway) who attemped to sing shut me up without instruments

I was well suprised no one trashed the stage, i would have been up for it.. everyone seemed ok about it all apart from me and my friends.
I kinda felt bad for jimmy taking the glowsticks to the head and just looking down.
I was so hyped as well. They should have told us earlier, they knew it was a problem from the night before so why not just say like its canceled then put it on today.

Fair enough it was ‘beyond their control’ but we were still left with no information for two hours. They let us in to spend money in the bars and I heard they had problems with the power on Thursday night. It’s all very well saying it’s postponed but the chances of getting those bands to find the same free date are slim and some of us can’t make just any old day for a night out.
Took a lot of effort to arrange to get to this gig and was really looking forward to letting off steam and having an excellent night with friends. Paid out for tickets, petrol, congestion charge, babysitter and then copious amounts of alcohol to make me forget what a total fuck up the evening was.
Will I get compensated for my wasted time, money and hassle? Will I bollocks. Bet the bands, venue, promoter etc got paid still. What a pile of shit.

Thanks a lot for nothing kerrang. seriously. i was queuing for 10 hours. it was gonna be my 1st time seeing dir en grey, i was so exicted, i couldnt sleep eat or anything. You could have told us there was a possiblity it could have been cancelled, instead of leaving us standing there for 2 hours. we had to ask the security blokes what was going on. You better bloody reschedule it dont even matter if its in like 5 months or whatever. dissapointed? thats an understatement. The only good highlight was that i met some cool people in the queue.

yeah so i said a certain track name wrong, humans make mistakes & i've never been told it was called the '3D Empire' not the 'IiiD empire'.
I'd been camping since Thursday without sleep and was freezing.
I don't pretend to be the biggest Dir en grey fan who knows everything, it shouldn't matter about fucking up track titles.
The appreciation for the music is what counts.
My mates and I cried so much because of this cancellation, it meant everything to us & i hope you reschedule in a few months when all the bands are available.

Kitty, I didn't make any negative comment towards you or how you pronounced the song name. My comment was referring to how DIR EN GREY fans always over exaggerate and make a big fuss over people's pronunciation. If you saw the Bristol video blog, there was a flood of angry comments about how the girl pronounced Kyo's name.
I was just predicting the same thing was gonna happen here, which would of been very annoying. Luckily, it didn't happen.

I was under the impression the track is pronounced '3rd Empire', not '3D'. If you look at the lyrics, there are lines that can be translated as 'For the country to prosper' which strongly suggest similarities to the 3rd Reich, the German Empire of the second world war. That was my interpretation anyway.

You can't blame the whole of "Kerrang" for the actions of the people at the venue. Maybe the people who work for Kerrang couldn't do anything about it, 'cause it was being handled by the people at Brixton Academy. Maybe the people Brixton demanded that they handle everything so nobody who works for Kerrang could speak to the audience during the wait.
I'm not trying to defend a cancelled gig, of course. But when you say "Fuck you Kerrang", who exactly are you talking to?
(And they can't reschedule so early because the bands have other tours to go to and stuff.)

Nothing can make up for the disappointment all the fans faced. Even though it's not Kerrangs fault its still their responsibility to make up for it and a ticket refund just won't hack it.
The MSI guys and the Dir en Grey guys were awesome for actually trying to cheer the fans up.

To Kitty & Sam and all the other people bitching about the song title, it's pronounced 'Third'. Ever heard of roman numerals? I = One, II = Two, etc..
If you look into the lyrics there are references to, like the other person mentioned earlier, Nazi Germany during WWII.
And to the person who said the "Kyo never says 'And the next song is..'", even if he did, you wouldn't be able to understand how it's pronounced because of the thick Japanese accent.

Just like 2 say, I went with my friend backstage (she broke her hand ¬_¬) and EVERYTHING was dark, they had to look at her hand by torches and the room was glowing by candle light. Yes, they could have handled the situation better (hence the broken-ness of my friend's hand) but if they kept us waiting that long, it ment they were trying to fix the problem. And even if they did, Brixton has a music curfue of 11 'o' clock, so it would have been stupid to even start the show if they HAD gotten it fixed *which they didnt*
So please, just let it go, i was as dissapointed as anyone, but i'm not having a bitch fit over it!
Respect To MSI (even though i'm not a fan ;) but maybe once i listen to more of their music) for trying to lighten the mood.

I've never seen "IST" mean first, or "IID" mean second, or "IIID" mean third. This is obviously Kyo's own thing he's done. Which means you'd have to ask him how he pronounces it.
Besides, the point I was trying to make was "There's no way to officially translate it". My theory I just gave isn't officially right, and neither is yours.
And we weren't bitching, I was just commenting on the fact that loads of people are gonna start arguing about this subject, like DIR EN GREY fans always do. And now it's unfortunately starting to happen.

My theory about that specific song is that what I feel when I hear it. I don't care how it is written or pronounced, I feel dir en grey when I hear it, everybody makes mistakes, so what? I have made mistakes and I will continue making them because those mistakes are the ones that have brought me to this point of my life.
I would suggest that everyone who is going on about Kitty and her "wrong" pronounciation of a song, should first look down on themselves and if you have never made a mistake, then you can keep going on about her comment. I am a devoted Dir en Grey fan but I don't see the point in going on about a comment that in your eyes is wrong. In my own mind, I have always said that the song was actually called the Third Empire but here I cannot say that I am right or wrong, I feel it that way and no one can tell me different.
So, please stop this nonsense!
Kitty, I bet you never knew that one song title "wrong pronounced" could get such a big fuss, huh?

I have no idea where I was when this was videoed cos I was with that girl with black and pink hair and was with Steph (girl in black and pink jeans) hahaha! oh well.
I'm so, so gutted it was cancelled!!! but it wasn't any of their faults at all. I was there the night before as well but had to leave cos we couldn't camp and came again 8am the next morning but even the night before they had to cancel a gig cos of the power cut thingie, so it wasn't just that night,
yes I paid like £150/£200 to be there, queued 13 hours and risked my job big time trying to get time off work to be there,
haha so megaaaaa gutted about doing all that and it being cancelled,
but I ain't gonna blame anyone cos it's no ones fault :)
Just really hope they can rescudule :).

Hmm I think people didn't riot because they are more civilized these days, and nothing would have come from rioting, not a smart move.
Yeah pretty bummed about it being cancelled, slightly suspicious though seeing as the exact same thing happened the night before at the exact same time. No point blaming kerrang though, i don't think they are trained electricians sooo.....
Was only there for Dir en grey, MSI was a big phat bonus but hey, pretty upset that I didn't get to see them.
Kitty and Lily my homegirls, rocking it from 7pm the night before.

And did anyone stop to think that they didn't say anything earlier 'cos they were maybe trying to fix and hoping the gig could still go on??
