Maryland pop punk four-piece All Time Low are set to headline this year’s Kerrang! Relentless Energy Tour, and rightly so. Their infectious and addictive tunes have had crowds bouncing across the globe since their formation in 2003, taking in everywhere from the famed US Warped Tour to our very own Give It A Name Festival. Their 2007 release – So Wrong, It’s Right – featuring singles Dear Maria, Count Me In and Poppin’ Champagne – turned the young lads from mere US newcomers into genuine international players, as word about their bubbly, fun-time tunes spread like wildfire. Late this summer, the band released the follow-up, Nothing Personal, snatching a 4K-rating from this very magazine. Described as sounding like they’re “having a whale of a time, and they want you to join in too!” – the record sold 63,00 in its first week in the States, with single Weightless getting prime-time viewing on all the right music channels and radio stations. Now the happy chappies are set to return to the UK, and cannot wait to headline the K! tour. “We’re big fans of the magazine, so the fact we were extended the invitation to close the shows on this tour is awesome,” says frontman Alex Gaskarth. “We can’t wait! Can you tell? We’re all really, really excited!”

Wales' hottest export, The Blackout, have been Kerrang! faves ever since the release of their debut EP, The Blackout! The Blackout! The Blackout!, in 2003. And the reason we love them is the fact that they have awesome tunes, the combined energy of than 1000 power stations and more dry wit than the whole of the Mock The Week panel. Their 2007 album, We Are The Dynamite, was an impressive debut full-length, but it is with this year’s follow-up, The Best In Town, that the world truly fell in love with these valley boys. From the rowdy Shut-the-Fuck-Uppercut to the anthemic Children Of The Night and uplifting I Love Myself And I Wanna Live, the album is packed-to-pop with hit, after hit, after hit that will have Kerrang! Relentless Energy Tour crowds singing at the top of their lungs! “We’re over the moon,” says vocalist Sean Smith. “We’ll bring smiles, good times and awesome dance moves. In the middle of every song, we’ll go into an electro hip-hop beat and dance for everyone!” We can’t wait to see that!

2009 has been an amazing year for Young Guns. The High-Wycombe-based five-piece have gone from total unknowns to larging-it-up with rock ‘n’ roll celebs at every opportunity. The former Kerrang! Introducing stars released their debut EP, Mirrors, in the summer, and by August were nominated for the Best British Newcomer gong at this year’s Kerrang! Awards. The boys have gone on to share stage space with Losprophets, Taking Back Sunday, The Used and more – as well as wowing crowds at the debut Sonisphere Festival. Frontman Gustav Wood has also become a Kerrang! pin-up as a model for our own T-shirt range, and all the band are beyond chuffed to be included on our 2010 bill. “Kerrang! have been very kind to us and discovering we’re part of this tour was a very nice way to round off the year,” smiles the singer. “We’re very humbled to be part of it. It’s a really diverse bill too. Something for everyone!”

  • My Passion

Sharply-dressed electro rockers My Passion are the final band to be added to our phenomenal 2010 bill. The friendly four-piece have been favourites of the UK underground scene for years. But it was their debut album, Corporate Flesh Party, this past May, that really got things rolling! With well over a million plays on MySpace, and fan clubs set up the world over, these excitable British lads are the icing on what’s set to be the best cake ever, as the Kerrang! Relentless Energy Tour kicks off in January. “We found out a couple of weeks ago and it’s been so hard to keep quiet about it,” frontman Laurence Rene told us. “This tour is the biggest thing we’ve ever been involved in and it’s amazing to have the opportunity to play to a large amount of people every night. Roll on January!” Hear hear!
